Juliet tells her father she is willing to marry Paris because she has already been to see the Friar and they have already created the plan to fake her death. She told her father she was at confession with the Friar, but in reality they had been discussing how to get her out of the marriage. Because she is confident she won't have to go through with the wedding, Juliet agrees to it.
