y-intercept occurs at x = 0.
y = 1 + 2 = 3

[tex]f(x) = 3^{x} + 2[/tex]
[tex]\text{Asymptote: } \lim_{x \to \infty} 3^{x} + 2[/tex]
[tex]= 2[/tex]

Thus, there is a horizontal asymptote at x = 2.
