How does the size of a solute affect the rate of diffusion? consider the size and shape of a molecule in your response?

The larger the solute the slower the rate of diffusion. Smaller the solute, faster the rate of diffusion. If the shape of the solute has a large surface area then it'll have the faster rate of diffusion. Shape of solute that has a small Surface area, has a slower rate of diffusion
