Given a line passes through the points (-1,-2) and (-4,-1)

The slope will be calculated as follows:

[tex]slope=m=\frac{rise}{run}=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex][tex]m=\frac{-1-(-2)}{-4-(-1)}=\frac{-1+2}{-4+1}=\frac{1}{-3}=-\frac{1}{3}[/tex]

So, the answer is slope = m = -1/3
