D<x =8 18+6 is 24 and 24/3 is 8

Work: 3x-6=18 You have to get x alone on one side
+6=+6 You cancelled out the -6 using +6 (always use opposites and what u do to one side you always do to the other side of the = sign)
3x=24 You cancelled out the x3 using /3
