Then we add 3 to both sides

[tex]-3+6b+3=6b+5+3[/tex]

Then we simplify

[tex]6b=6b+8[/tex]

Then we subtract 6b from both sides

[tex]6b-6b=6b+8-6b[/tex]

Simplify

[tex]0=8[/tex]
