If these are all separate answers, then: y=3r-1

Substitute r for the value it's asking for.

R=-1
y=3(-1)-1
(Answer) y=-4

R=-8
y=3(-8)-1
y=-24-1
(Answer) y=-25

R=-4
y=3(-4)-1
y=-12-1
(Answer) y=-13

R=2
y=3(2)-1
y=6-1
(Answer) y=5

R=6
y=3(6)-1
y=18-1
(Answer) y=17
