15-2y-6=4y-9
We can add like terms.
9-2y=4y-9
Let's add 9 to both sides.
18-2y=4y
Let's add 2y to both sides.
18=6y
Let's divide by 6.
18÷6=3=y
So, y=3. Also using a graph, you can tell that the y intercept is 3 as well.
